Traces of ancient Indian and Chinese empires characterise the landscapes of Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos, resulting in the somewhat archaic sounding moniker “Indochina”. Connected by a common landscape of steaming jungles and the mighty Mekong River, these countries also share much history. Waves of powerful dynasties, Angkor kings, Champa emperors and more recently, the trauma of US aerial bombardment, have all left their mark throughout this region.

These tours explore a little more under-the-skin of their destination, striking out into regions which see fewer visitors, usually making for a more interactive and immersive experience.In Vietnam we also offer a culinary tour which visits the classic sites as well as learning more about the cuisine. In Myanmar we offer a "Mystical Myanmar" tour which offers the classic sights but also various regions less explored by visitors. We also offer several multi-country tours in this region based along similar principles. In many cases the Hidden tours are ideal for second or third time visitors who want to explore a different region and in many cases the classic and hidden tours run back to back so you could opt to do them together.
